making a 4pack mot/ckoke

I made a slide choke a few months ago but after reading over the 
information provided by Greg about said slide chokes I don’t think my 2” 
core will do. I think I can still use the 500 feet of 10awg-stranded wire 
but I’ll need a new core. I have access to the metal shop at school and was 
thinking I could use 22 or 24 sheet steel cut into a “C” core and stacked 
together. What do you think?
