I'll second that. If Lexan is available, I use it just because it won't chip
during cutting and drilling like the more brittle Plexiglass will.

My experience has been exactly opposite! Plexiglas is brittle and prone to
chipping, where Lexan is tougher and drills and cuts with no problems. Lexan
is much more expensive.
