We ran a 6" coil hurling 5' arcs in the middle of a cyber cafe last year :) 
less than 20' from 18 computers. I think I can answer this :)

A line filter is a moot point, the ONLY way to be totally safe is UNPLUG THE 
COMPUTERS :) Not just power but Monitor, Keybd, Mouse, everything. We also 
had them shutdown the till, the stereo, microwave, everything.

They've asked us back 5 times :)
