I would say 4 - 12 amps draw is going to be fair for the 4" secondary.   
What you may want to consider for the near future is a ballast system 
that can handle 60 or so amps to go along with the piggie ( do it 
justice). If you are getting a good amount of length from the MOTS at 
this point, the piggie will be quite a bit more heafty in supplying 
better voltages at the same current level you are using. If you can.... 
 get ahold of 2  1256 D variacs ( i prefer the 1156 units but cant find 
them) and keep the current at about 25 Amps ( unless you plan on 
paralleling the variacs for more UUUMMMPPHH ).

When are you going to build the 12" coil ??   ;)
