For the one image I managed to get of my 12" coil before the RCD
tripped. It was taken with the flash activated (ooops!), hence it only
shows a single, yet impressive primary strike. I need the bleeder rod to
prevent arcs to other parts of the room such as house wiring.

For a low budget SRSG. The stationary electrodes are 5mm zirconiated
tungsten, rotating are 5/16" brass rod. Unit runs quite cool.
