If you live in an apartment, a solid state tesla coil would be the perfect
choice - especially if you are looking for a table top unit.
No need for an RF ground, puts out little EMI compared to a conventional
tesla coil, and is much less mechanically demanding than a conventional tc
although the electronics part of it is a little more complicated, but not
too difficult if you follow some simple solid state tc plans already on the
internet.
