Hi Tim
I've run 6 MOTs with a 300bps SRSG
* The MOTS are run in a phased array of 3 per side.(primaries in //)
* Outer MOTs (4 off) are selected for good core to secondary clearance
* Each Outer MOTs is in 6" PVC plumbing fixtures to make a small tank.
* The Tank is filled with good xfrmr oil
* The Tesla has standard LP L/C filtering on it's I/P to keep the RF
away(500pf./10mH)
* The MOTs are 230v and run at 230v
* I get about 13kvrms (6.5kv per side)
* The outer 4 MOTs have not died from core to sec insulation failure
* Others on the net have reported achieving similar systems
* PFC is essential
* Inductive ballasting is used to limit I I/P to approx 20A RMS
* This thing is deadly, care reqd
Best
