It is a good idea to have more capacitance than neaded. As you add a top
load the added capacitance is neaded. Your word "significantly" causes
concern. If you add enough capacitance to cause your primary to be way out
of resonance you defeat the system and you get little or no output. More
than resonance is desirable, but in moderation.
