A 15kv NST puts out either 30mA (.03 Amps) or 60mA
(.06 Amps). It the 30 mA variety pulls maybe 4 Amps
from a 120vac outlet. The 60mA NST draws about 8 Amps.
A 12 ga cord can safely carry up to 20 Amps.
