Re: Wire?

Hi Erik,
For the secondary, magnet wire around 24 gage rules. Probably have to get
it from a motor repair shop, E-bay, someone here, etc.
For the primary, 1/4 inch diameter 50 foot long rolls of copper
refrigeration tubing from the hardware store (it's very common). BIG wire
could be used too.
"Regular" spark plug wire is not "wire". It is carbon impregnated
nylon(?). Of no use to us. There is some "hot rod" spark plug wire that
is still made from real copper but it tends to be expensive.
The primary wire around the primary, spark gap, and capacitor loop needs to
be as big and heavy as you can find but don't worry "too" much over it.
Wiring from the NST is low current but high voltage so thin wire with thick
insulation is best. You almost need real magnet wire for the secondary.
Not too many options there.
Cheers,
Terry
