Hi Adam,
The big problem is heat. Too much current in too few caps burns up. Too many
caps just gives lot of cold expensive caps. The "EMMC" is a design that is
meant to push caps right to the "good" edge of destruction so as to use the
fewest caps and save money. The chart the Geek group has is perfect for
balancing the number of caps needed vs. cost. Trust it :-))
