Help making a 1mh inductor

Hi guys, i need a 1mh inductor.I do not have an inductance meter.Is there
an easy way to make a simple small inductor?Like on a ferrite core?How many
turns would give approximately 1mh if i use say 26 awg wire?I know the core
will greatly affect this.But say I use just a small type.Its for a SSTC
push-pull design.
