I don't remember who lives in an apartment and uses a steel snake in the sewer
line for a good ground, but to my mind this sounds like a great idea. My 
Wife works
at a plumbing place and they throw away the best snakes that have a lot of 
life left
in them. I would run a copper wire down the center of one of these and 
flush some
Epsom salts down for extra conduction. I'm sure it would work if not for 
the fact that
you would have to pull it out and clean the thing off before putting it away.
