new ac flyback circuit

all,
I was recently given a "Honeywell" industrial gas burner ignition. i
powered it right off and got a nice purple discharge of three inches max
from the terminal.
of coarse the next step was to take it apart, i was surprised to see a
flyback as the hv trans and a very simple driving circuit for ac
operation.
I am going to reverse engineer the board and try to post the schematic,
this may save using a 12v psu and a new primary winding to get hv out of
our flyback?
How nice it will be to plug a simple unit into line voltage with some
tank caps and gap to power table top coils.
More to come, maybe a pic or two.
