A fable.  A TRUE fable.
(OK.  I wasn't there, but got it from 'Bob' who
did it to himself.)

Bob (as a teenager) got hold of an X Ray Transformer.
Without electrocuting himself, evolved two, hand held,
ball electrodes, which he could pull sparks from.

One day, working alone, he Dropped One electrode.

No fuse operation, as the output floats.

NOW he was more or less 100KV away from EVRYTHING ELSE
in the building.  Including the Power Switch.  So there he
stood wondering what to do...

Fortunately, his dad wandered by and killed power from
another building.  Dad ALSO administered Some Pointed
Suggestions AND depositied the transfromer in a large,
deep swamp....
