Just for those are confused,
SPST = Single Pole, Single throw, just like a normal switch. That is, only one
switch (Relay), that is either ON or OFF.
DPDT = Double Pole, Double throw. Actually two switches (Relays) That are more
than just on or off, they are position 1, or position 2.
Anyways, what i originally posted for. With DPDT relays, you can wire them in
series, so the switch actually opens twice (or with 3PDT ones, 3 times) as
fast, so you get less arcing, especially at 240V.
