High energy caps use?

Hello Coilers,
I have 7 pulse discharge capacitors that were salvaged out a portable
defibrillators, all the same model, They are 33uF at 5kv, 500 Joules. The
peak current that these things put out under their expected load is only 54
amps at 360 joules, a few Kv on the capacitor discharged through an
inductor in series with the defib paddles to the patient, expected patient
impedance is 50 ohms.
Has anyone tried caps like these for a coil gun, mass accelerator/launcher,
quarter shrinking and similar high energy experiments?
I also have a big heavy oil capacitor out of an xray machine, it's a dual
capacitor ( two cap in one can), each one is 2uF at 50Kv. I've been told
that shorting one of these could be catastrophic : - O What could one
do with these caps?
