One last time now,altogether...

Hi all,
Lets see if I have this dual NST thing down. Here's what I plan to do
and please feel to jump in if or where I go wrong.
First check both NST's to make sure both HV terminals on each(all
four)put out equally by drawing a arc to ground.
Now wire the two NST's like this(pictured with one on top of the other
and from the rear)
H =hot 120vac
N =neutral 120vac
G =ground
|= wire
N H
| |
| G | NST2
| | |
_______
N | H <------In from Variac(hot to hot, neutral to neutral)
| NST1
G---------------------->>>Out to RF Ground
_______
I now apply power in to my NST bank via my Variac to NST1 again wiring
hot to hot and neutral to neutral. Variac is grounded to mains. I apply
power and take one lead from NST1 and try to draw arc to one of the HV
leads on NST2. If it DOES draw an arc then THESE TWO HV LEADS DO NOT GO
TOGETHER(or are not in phase). Lets say the one I pick DOES NOT draw an
arc. I would then pair these two HV leads(one from each transformer) to
ONE side(the same side obviously) of my safety gap. The remaining two I
pair to the other side of the safety gap.
Do I got it or what??
Thanks,
Jim
