try electronic goldmine for that cheap dmm they have some that start at 9
bucks I bought two of em a few months back and they are still working, the
smallest model uses L1154 or LR44 button battries and the next cheapest
model uses a 9 volt and has a rubber over case I payed $17.00 for that one,
both seems to work just fine. you can check them out at
www.goldmine-elec-dot-com BTW i do not work for them.
