Thyristor Power Controller
Original poster: "Ben McMillen by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <spoonman534-at-yahoo-dot-com>
Hi all,
I found a thyristor power controller made by halmar electronics in the
trash yesterday, and I was wondering if it could be used for current
limiting.. it's rated at 240VAC (single phase) 70amps.. it's got a current
transformer that provides feed back to the trigger circuitry to allow for
current limiting (At least I think that's what it's for.. )
The model number is: PA1-2470AD
Serial #: 7927999
There are 3 main terminals.. a pair labeled 'x2' and 'L2' and another 2
labled "x1" and "L1". x2 and L2 are common.. X1 goes through the current
transformer, through the SCR's and out to L1. Does anyone know where I
might be able to find out some information on this thing? Thanks for any
help...
