Hi, the rotor on the average car alternator looks like a nice spool of wire
sitting in a cage. well it will take between 15 and 30 TONS of force to get
the rotor shell off the shaft and usually the wire is glued with varnish
etc. I would pick on a starter solenoid first. also small motors such as the
fan motor in a microwave(can opener, timer clock) usually will have a nice
spool of wire and usually not sealed with varnish etc. solenoids from a
bunch of different household machines are a good try. cul brian f.
