Hi Richard..

what characteristic of the dielectric do you need to know about?   the
voltage hold off value or the
"K"  factor?

some materials ( like Teflon, mica ) have great voltage hold off capacities
but thier K value is on
the low side.
and on the other side of the coin there are materials that have fantastic K
values ( barium Titanate)
but the hold off voltage is low.

and to throw in another "monkey wrench" some materials are great for DC
application ( mylar)  but
suffer when it comes to hi frequency AC.   ( gets complicated doesnt it  ??
 ;)   )

Enamel runs about 5 on the K factor and has a break  down voltage of about
450V per 1/1000 of an inch
thickness

I suppose its all what you have in mind for your design....
