NOW I GET IT!!!!!!!

I have had MUCH confusion for the past year or 2 about this SCR thing. I 
thought it referred to a Silicon Controlled Rectifier (a solid state thing), 
not a Saturable Controlled Reactor (a big iron thing). Yet another one of 
those coiling epiphanies....

a core of that magnitude would require quite a bit of

Ok....so much for that idea....thank you VERY much for explaining it to me
