I have built two versions of what you describe. My main web site is at
http://people.ne.mediaone-dot-net/lau/tesla/tesla.htm. Look for "My single
static spark gap", and "My latest static gap - The Vortex Gap ".
In one variant, I suck air with a vacuum cleaner motor, and in the other, I
pressurize the air with a vacuum cleaner motor. But I make no attempt to
exhaust the air to the outside. I figure that the amount of ozone and NOx
produced by the streamers is at least as great as that produced in the gap.

Hi All!
Does anyone have first-hand experience with an aspirated static gap.
This type uses two opposing hollow electrodes on a two-horned manifold, with
hot air and ozone, etc., being sucked in through the gap and vented outside
the building. I made one of 1/2" copper and plastic and was wondering if
there's anyone to compare notes with.
