Michael,
Any kind of wire will be good enough for the most part as long
as it's reasonably thick. I usually
use 12awg wire for tank hookup for small coils. Some folks like
to use thicker wire to reduce losses, although it doen't tend to
make any difference. There's no need to use high voltage wire
as long as you allow clearance between wires and metal items
so no arcs occur between wires and things. You won't be
touching the wires anyway when the coil is active, not if you
want to remain among the living anyway :)
