As I recall Wardencliff wasn't dynamited until worry arose that it was a
landmark
that could be used for bombing raids on the US? Seems to me it wasn't leveled
until WWII? The debris was hauled off for scrap but that wasn't the reason
it was destroyed.
This mentions Wardencliff but presents the story in a way I've never heard or
seen before and I wonder how accurate it is?
My memory may be totally frazzeld but my impression is this guy is pulling
rabbits out of his historical hat.
