Nice pictures. But the polarity looks strange. Positive corona is
usually
longer than negative corona, although your pictures don't show other
characteristics that can help in the polarity identification.
Are you sure that the polarities are not reversed?
Probe with a microamperimeter, with one terminal grounded and the
other connected to a high-value (and long) resistor and a point.
This system operates with pulses, and it's enough to have a positive
swing larger than the negative swing to have this effect, or maybe
even to have greater voltage in relation to ground (any polarity) at
the side that shows longer corona.
