Luc, Frank...
The Lutron Fan Control (5A model) uses a diac.
Marc Metlicka replaced it with a triac, a large current type.
The item is a Motorola 107S510. It also has a number SAC 230.
However, one of our engineers who knows Moto items, says the date code on
the body, which is 8120, means it was made the 20th week of 1981!!!

we are still researching the actual specs to see what the 2001 equivalent
is.

Marc...where are you?

Ted

Hi Frank

I can't give you # but you need to know that in dimmer they used
quadrac but it can be replace by a diac and a triac. If you
search the web you could find some schematic for big dimmer.

Cheers,

Luc Benard
