Terry and all,
Great information about tungsten carbide! It turns out that the material is
somewhat magnetic, apparently due to the cobalt or nickel that's used as a
binder. Just obtained a batch of the material from the junkyard as both
inserts and various diameter rods, and was a bit amazed to find out that a
NIB magnet would attract it (but not nearly as strongly as steel)...
