I would test it at it's rated freq. as all the existing components are tuned
to that
freq. after you find out that it functions to  then you will have to rip out
some of thoes existing components to replace them with ones that will work
at
a lower freq. but before you do this check to see if the tube will operate
at the
lower TC freq.s
