 Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out my primary calculations, and i noticed that on
javatesla designer my primary is autotuned to about 14-15 turns. But when i
use the Ed Sonderman's Excel spreadsheet, it says that i need about 12-13
turns. Can anyone tell me which one is the more correct program, as well
as the wheeler ratio and its affect on the calculation.

 Thanks

Will,

I can't speak to this directly as I have not ran any comparisons between my
spreadsheet and the javatesla program. I have ran countless calculations on
my two coils and those of others and generally find the proper tap point
comes out within about one turn of the best actual operating position. A
possible weak point of my spreadsheet is that it requires a reasonably close
estimate of the toroid capacitance - i.e. it does not calculate it for you.
