I ran an NST DC power supply at the 2000 So. Cal. Teslathon 
to charge two 7.5 uf 20 KV caps and explode some wires. Very 
easy to make a full wave bridge rectifier out of 1K-  6 amp 
diodes. 30 on each side of a square fiber board to make 30kv 
Got them on a bulk buy here on this list. $40. Get with me off 
list if you want and I'll help.
