NST Test Method?

Is there a tried and true method to check a NST to see if it is putting out its
full potential?  I have a used 15000/30 NST and am wondering about its
strength?  My  TC works, but I am looking at where my in-efficiencies may be
and realized that the NST works, but is it working at it full rating?
