Only wireing arrangment could remind you on
autotransformer here.
Operative Principles ,and physical phenomena in TC
circuit ,and as well as in "oudin coil" circuit have
very little in common with usual transformers'
principles. 
Reasons for such arrangment of connections in oudin
coil is of different nature.
