I checked your interesting website and was pleased to see that you used and
recommended the coupling test (modified) shown in my Tesla Coil Design
Manual (Fig 33).  Thank you for also mentioning my name. I agree with you
that this is an excellent test to find the coupling factor. Many coilers who
have my books have found this a very easy and accurate test for finding this
parameter.

The test coupling factor can also be checked with the coupling factor that
is produced by the JHCTES Ver 2.3 computer program. The test and program
will give very close results when done correctly. It must be remembered that
the program coupling factor is based on other program parameters that must
also be accurate.
