Re: Magnet wire source?



You need to be careful with re-using wire. Of it has been run with excess
current or has anykind of varnish etc it will be of no use. Also
some-de-gauusing coils are ok, others are not, some of the more modern ones
seem to use a special alloy (I don't know what it is, but its impossible to
solder, I have come across this in a couple of cases, in one case they used
a crimp joint, and in the other they seem to have used some kind of
spot-weld.
