An interesting set of observations. Again I fired a coil last weekend 
at a somewhat higher power than the previous weekend and the 
smell did seem more acrid. In fact it began to affect my eyes after a 
couple of minutes.
     The point about photocopiers and other low level sources 
producing ozone is well taken. It seems that there is a consensus 
that a flamelike discharge is an ozone destroyer. I can buy that.
