Re: Ignition Coils



One end of the HT winding (secondary) is grounded through the body of the
coil, so make this the ground of your secondary. There are several circuits
to be found on different sites using ignition coils. Some people do use
mains via a lamp dimmer circuit and a capacitor, although I don't like the
idea.
A simple circuit could be based on a 555 timer chip and a 2N3055, again
there are several circuits to be found on the internet.
