Alex,

Many differerent types of coatings work well.  I use a water based
polyurethane to coat my coil after I wind it and it works fine.

Generally I don't necessarily believe something because it was stated
by a company.  I prefer to trust my own research, or the research of
others who I know and trust.  However large reputable companies usually
offer excellent and reliable information.
