More power, better caps.  You're not going to get 5' arcs with a 15000/30
transformer.  It has been done with 15000/60, with a lot of work, but don't
expect those kind of results in your first year :-)

With your 15/30 transformer, salt water caps and single static gap, I would
expect you to max out at 2 to 2.5 feet of spark.
