secondary connection

i was wondering how i might go about connecting the secondary to the
topload. my current idea involves connecting the last winding on the
seondary onto a screw that leads into the pvc pipe im using. from there
another peice of wire hooks onto a bolt i have through a pvc end cap. i
made a small schematic if you dont understand what im saying

is this going to cause arcing problems within the secondary, or should i
just wind the wire to the top of the cap and connect it to the bolt there?
still it may arc off the ends of the bolt and inside of the secondary
unless i cover it with some insultation. id like some tips on how to go
about doing this while the varnish is still drying on it.
