Wild caps...and shopping :)

While looknig for a new facility for the Group (Avalon is getting bogged
down in Lawyers and EPA, but we're not quitting) we stumpled across some
guys removing equipment from a soon to be abandoned paper mill.

They were removing a series of contactors rated 400Amps at 50,000kVA! WOW
these things were about 2 cubic feet! I snagged one for the Group....have
absolutly no concept what I'll ever do with it.....but I have one :)

One of the things we noticed on our little jaunt was a large bank of
capacitors used next to the private substation for the plant. I have no idea
of ratings or whatnot (I have to go back tomorrow), but they were about 4W X
10L X 6D and had 2 HV bushings. These are probably rated for at least 2000
and at most 15KV and I was woindering if they would work for TC duty. Ideas?
Terry?

I'm going back tomorrow PIG hunting. I'll probably find some antique PCB
filled thing....but, since I never plan on getting rid of it, PCBs are fine
with me.

Now I need a Bigger car...:)
