Terry,

I recently got one of the "grab box" deals full of surplus goodies from Fair
Radio.  In it was what looked like a reject from a Milton Bradley toy.
Anyway, this toy struck me as being the front of some type of electronic
airplane and when you would tip it up, the circuitry involved would make a
noise like a spacecraft accelerate, when you would tip the "nose" down it
would decelerate in tone.  Upon further investigation (bust 'dat case open),
it used a ball bearing sealed in a small container that would make contact
with the proper teminals when tipped up or down.

Could you extend a cylinder off the contact of a typical solenoid/relay with
a tube chamber and a sliding switching "puck"?
