Re: using XC to cancel XL
The objective was to seperate the load and its interuption of the phase
of the line current, and isolate the output not, change the voltage.
You do have a great idea for isolation though because, the bridge would
isolate it charging a temporary cap. Then the nst would run off of a
seperate trigger at a completely different frequency than the line becuase,
a real heavy filter cap is there at 120, which would be at about 250 after
the bridge, at peak DC.
The whole idea was to isolate it from the 60Hz line. I think its 440Hz in

+AD4APg- Here's how to avoid that problem in a small discription, use a
+AD4APg- spark gap, or a spark plug that you can gap yourself, a diode, and a
+AD4APg- cap. In the circuit arrangement the order of parts would be as
+AD4APg- follows: 120
+AD4APg- AC, Diode, or bridge rectifier, Filter capacitor, Spark gap, NST.
+AD4APg- You can
+AD4APg- even the control the frequency that the gap fires. Filter
+AD4APg- Inductive choke, tuning capacitor, spark gap, NST. Which would be a
+AD4APg- filter, charging a small cap before the spark gap, feeding the NST
+AD4APg- the same
+AD4APg- way you would feed the primary of the tesla coil. There are spark
+AD4APg- gaps, and
+AD4APg- gaps small enough for 120 volts to jump. It might take 15, er 20
+AD4APg- non-resistor type plugs to do it but, they will work, if you know
+AD4APg- how to
+AD4APg- adjust the gap of a sparkplug.
+AD4-Is the idea of this to increase NST input voltage if you use greater than
