Re: Secondary Wire Type

to: Adam

200 degree C is the best type wire to use for this application. Also,
Beldon Polythermalize is also great.

Subject: Secondary Wire Type

I'm planning on building a 4.25" x 18" secondary using AWG24. It will be
powered by a 15kv, 30 ma NST, which may get parelleled in the future. I
found some wire with the following specs: "An enamel coating gives this wire
good moisture and heat resistance, so it can be used in hermetic motors.
Wire meets NEMA 1000 MW-73 and MW-35, and is rated at 7,500 VAC. Temperature
rating 200° C." Is this OK?

thanx
