I like fancy math, but I know also how to make a physical construction
work, as appears to be also the case of most of the members of the list
that like fancy math. Excessive theoretical work (like those guys that
can't do anything without a Spice, or worse, a Matlab simulation)
can hide the essential simplicity of most physical phenomena. Excessive
disregard for mathematical modeling, specially when associated to
misleaded notions of physics, can lead to hours of wasted work, with
the final conclusion that all the physics is wrong.
