Tried it-- works poorly if at all-- to get proper capacitance and voltage rating you need to wire like 30 of them in series, which raises the series resistance and inductance WAY too much. Better off to "roll your own" or make a plate cap. You CAN find PE caps that are of the same type with higher ratings and lower capacitance, though less easily-- try surplus stores and junkyards. -Mike
