Books for sale

I have a few books for sale. If you're interested, please email me
directly at sroys-at-umaryland.edu

First, books to leave around on your coffee table to impress your
neighbors, or even use 'em to pack a little (or a lot) more info into the
ole brain -

"Mathematical Methods of Physics" by Mathews & Walker, 2nd edition
hardback in as-new condition, copyright 1970. 500 pp with 16 chapters and
an appendix of heavy-duty graduate level mathematics for physicists - Diff
eq, series, integrals, complex variables, vectors and matrices, special
functions, tensor analysis, etc, etc, etc... Sells at Amazon for $78 for
the PAPERBACK! Your price - $25

"Mathematical Methods for Physicists" by George Arfken, 3rd edition
hardback in darn-close-to-new condition (just a very few highlightings),
copyright 1985. 984 pp of even heavier duty graduate-level math for you
sweaty, masochistic physicists (The first 3 chapters are Vector Analysis,
Coordinate Systems, and Tensor Analysis, and it goes up from there). 4th
edition Sells at Amazon for $73, your price - $25.

And now the fun ones...

"Radio Engineering" by F. E. Terman, 2nd edition, seventeenth
impression, 1937. Good condition but some underlining, and the orig.
owner's name written in it. 813 pp of all sorts of technical radio
goodies from the golden age of vacuum tubes. Circuit elements (L, R, C),
resonance, vacuum tubes, amplifiers, modulators, detectors, power sources,
transmitters, receivers, wave propagation, antennas, radio aids to
navigation, television, and sound equipment. $20

"Measurements in Radio Engineering", by F. E. Terman, first edition, 2nd
impression, 1935. Good condition, although a very few pages have som
light pencil scribbling on them. Comprehensive discussion of the measuring
problems commonly encountered by radio engineers. 400 pp with V, I, and
power measurements, circuit constants at low freq, circuit constants at
RF, R, L, and C devices, freq. measurement, wave form and phase
measurements, vacuum tube characteristics, AF amplifiers, receiver
measurements, oscillator, power-amp, and modulation measurements, radio
waves, antennas and transmission lines, lab oscillators, CRT's,
miscellaneous, and an appendix of lab experiments from bridge measurements
to frequency measurement. $20

Actual book rate shipping to be added.

Thanks,
Steve Roys.
