"Spinners" from the front of an aircraft propeller on the top of the
toroids.

Heres somethin new to try: if you have a spherical discharge terminal then 
try wrapping it up in aluminum foil and forming a "point" at one end, like a

lightening conductor. place it on your coil with the point facing upwards,
