I used an acrylic form for my 6" coil after winding the coil. I sealed it with
two coats
of "Behr Build 50" a two part epoxy paint, each coat is as thick as 50 coats of
polyurethane paint. It is clear and you can buy it at "Home Depot" for about
$29.00.
